Southwind's Quick Tips
- Preparing for medical emergencies is a must. Be sure to have signed health forms for every leader and camper.
- Arriving and departing at the proper time is very important in planning your travel. Arrival on the first day is 3-5 p.m., and departure on the last day is approximately 12 p.m.
- Good pre-trip communication with the camp is essential in helping both parties to prepare. Trip leaders should send or call in their expected numbers (using the Ten Day Call-in Form) 10 days prior to the first day of camp. You'll also need to return a completed A-form and Housing Request 24 hours prior to your arrival. Finally, when you're actually on the road, you'll need to call two hours before you intend to arrive in order to schedule a welcome for your group.
- Please remember that Southwind currently does not provide linens for its guests. Please have each leader and camper bring his or her own bedding
(sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, etc.), towels and other necessary linens.
